1. Select a children’s speech and language clinic or clinician who has been approved by Rite Care Billings to provide clinical services. Rite Care Billings does not provide clinical services directly and all applications must begin with an approved clinician who will evaluate the child. If the child is found to be appropriate for speech and language clinical services and the clinician is willing to provide them, the application process may proceed to step two. Most, if not all, children’s speech and language clinics in Billings have become a part of the Billings Rite Care charity. Simply ask the clinic or clinician selected. The Scottish Rite secretary may also be contacted to identify approved clinic and clinicians.
2. Two documents are needed to make an application for Rite Care funding of speech and language clinical services. (1) A fully completed and signed Application on the form provided by Rite Care Billings. (2) A proposed Treatment plan on the form provided by Rite Care Billings with the information required from the parents/guardian and the treating clinician which has been signed by the treating clinician and at least one parent or the guardian, where applicable. When these two documents have been completed by the parents and clinician, they must be delivered together to the Scottish Rite office located at 514 14th Street West, Billings, Montana. The preferred delivery is sending both completed and signed documents as email attachment from the clinic. The application process does not require any documentation of the requested information. DO NOT PROVIDE COPIES OF MEDICAL DOCUMENTS, TAX RETURNS OR ANY OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION. Any need for additional information will be discussed at the parent/guardian conference.
3. Attend and participate in the parent/guardian conference. You will be notified of a conference to be held either “in-person” at the Scottish Rite Temple or electronically. Both parents are requested to participate, but one only is acceptable when scheduling requires. The parent/guardian meeting is held to consider and discuss the contents of the application and determine the amount of financial assistance that can be made available from Rite Care Billings. Often the Treatment Plan on which Rite Care Billings makes payments is completed at the conclusion of the parent/guardian conference.
